A feral, adventurous mind interests me. New and ancient cultures, experiences, expressions and thoughts feed my art. With a passion for anthropological and adventure travel, I study spiritual traditions and teachings as I visits clients around the globe.
I grew up on the Mason Dixon line slalom skiing around water moccasins, dancing with fireflies, climbing trees and tipping cows in the Missouri boot heel.
At five years old my mother died, provoking my survival-oriented curiosity around spirituality, world religions and philosophies. I truly love people and have an intense need to express my deep appreciation. As a portrait artist, I look at and within my client, deeply empathetic for his or her personal story.
Constant ‘risks’ enable me to maintain a distinct, fearless style. By refusing to accept psychological, technical or external boundaries in my art, painting is my meditative, spiritual practice.
