Restless days turned into peaceful evenings as I drank in the colors and drama of sunsets in Sante Fe, which inspired a newfound passion in female artist Robbi Firestone. Working with a deft hand, Firestone uses the highest quality pastels on archival board to capture scenes of serene landscapes with savage colors that reach out like velvet fingers, drawing you in with their gentle yet bold charm. As if partaking in an evening of entertainment, dense blocks of pastel colors work together to evoke gem like tones from purples and blues to amber oranges and crimson reds, all painting vivid images of sunset preludes through barren aspens. Serene Landscapes of Savage Color not only captivates the observer but transports them into its remarkable depths that refract moods through hue for an eternal savoring.
